Rivian and Ben & Jerry's Unveil All-Electric Scoop Truck
Rivian and Ben & Jerry's have teamed up to create a deliciously sustainable future with the launch of two all-electric "Scoop Trucks." Built on Rivian’s Commercial Van platform, these innovative vehicles will serve up ice cream in a more eco-friendly way, reducing carbon emissions while keeping the treats frozen.
The first electric Scoop Truck is set to debut at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas, before embarking on a nationwide tour. Fans can expect to see these trucks at events across the country, including stops in Vermont, the home of Ben & Jerry’s.
Rivian’s Commercial Vans offer a 161-mile range per charge, allowing for more efficient ice cream deliveries without the need for fossil fuels. This partnership underscores both companies’ commitment to sustainability, with Sean Slattery, Ben & Jerry’s US Integrated Marketing Project Lead, calling it "an ice cream dream come true."
With these electric Scoop Trucks hitting the streets, Ben & Jerry’s and Rivian are proving that sweet treats and sustainability can go hand in hand. Stay tuned as these trucks roll out nationwide, bringing delicious ice cream with a greener footprint.
